Hello! My name is Lorie Hamilton.
A little bit about my background:
I attended the University of Ottawa where I received my Bachelor of Arts, Concentration in Psychology and Sociology; my Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Sociology; Bachelor of Arts, Concentration in Communications; my Bachelor of Education (Primary and Junior Division); and my Master's in Education in Educational Counselling. I have also completed various additional qualification teacher courses, and have my Specialist in both Special Education and English as a Second Language.
I have been working with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board since 2006, where I have supplied; completed various long-term occasional positions; and have been working as a contract teacher. This will be my 6th year at Roberta Bondar Public School. I may have worked with some of your children before this year in various capacities around the school. Last year I taught grade 2/3. In previous years at Roberta Bondar, I have worked as an ESL and primary ETFI teacher. I am looking forward to teaching your child this year, and getting to know you and your children.
I also work for the City of Ottawa as a Head Lifeguard part-time, and I am also one of the school's first aiders. Over the years the students may have heard my name being called over the PA system to go to the office for first aid.
