We had a busy week...

Luv 2 Groove.  Thank you to Ms Julia and Ms Pearl for teaching us some really cool dances over the last 3 days!!  We learned an urban dance; an African dance; and Bollywood style dance.

Please check out their website (http://luv2groove.com/)  They offer weekly classes; summer camps; and are available for birthday parties.

If your child loves Fortnite, here is one of Ms Julia's Body Break videos based on Fortnite dance moves:

Math: We wrapped up our unit of fractions.

Science:  We continued to work on our science units.  Grade 2s- animals; Grade 3s Plants.  The grade 3s this week started an experiment that looked more closely at stems of plants.  Students predicted what would happen if a carnation and a celery stalk were placed in coloured water.  They guessed that the celery leaves and the carnation flower will end up having colour in them because the stem circulated water and nutrients to other parts of the flower or plant.   We look forward to seeing what happens to the celery and carnations after the break/ after they have been in the water for a few days!

Grade 2: ANIMALS:

One of the videos we watched this week.

Art: We worked on creating FUNKY BUNNIES using either lines or patterns or a combination of both.  There have been many compliments on their artwork from many staff and students.  Great job guys!!
