This week I emailed a copy of the social studies assignment your child will be working on at school. The assignment is just meant for you to review concepts and to know how I will be marking them. Please do not work on them at home, as I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MARK ANY WORK COMPLETED AT HOME. Thank you!
What did we do this week:
Language: We working on persuasive writing. Students are writing introductions, providing 3 reasons (using facts, not opinions), and writing a conclusion. They were writing about what season is the best; as well as what animal would or would not make a good pet.
Math: We wrapped up our unit on 3D figures. This week we will start our unit on subtraction (with and without regrouping). Please practice this concept at home.
Social studies: We continued to discuss the 3 landforms in Ontario (Hudson Bay lowlands, Canadian Shield, and the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Lowlands). We started our social studies research projects.
