Covid-19 March 30-April 3 Update 2

Dear families!

I hope you are doing well.

If you haven't done so, please have your child log in and working on kidsa-z.com (raz-kids and headsprout) for language and prodigy for math.  I will include the login information again below. These are great resources for your child to work on!  Please refer back to email entitled Week 1 learning activities, for more information and activities for your child to work on.

Teachers will be meeting later this afternoon with admin to discuss the plan to move forward after the government announcement yesterday.  I will keep you posted on what I would like to do moving forward.  Please keep an eye out for emails and please read them.

I signed the kids up for another math program called Splash Math.  I tried this program out.  It looks great, and an excellent way to reinforce and practice math concepts!!

At the end of this email, there is a message from Mme. Wereley (Core French). She has provided some great learning activities for your child.

Have a wonderful day!

Ms. Hamilton

MESSAGE FROM MME. WERELEY (CORE FRENCH)

Bonjour tout le monde,

J'espère que vous ête en bonne santé et en sécurité avec vos familles.

I am missing everyone very much, especially our time in the portable and outside for APQ.

I am going to attach some links to a few websites so that you can listen and/or watch some French shows/books. I am also going to attach the class play that we are learning and studying this year. While you are reading and practising your play, you can also do the following tasks:

-Find all the verbs (action words)
-Find all the nouns (people, places and things)
-Find all the determinants (le, la, les, un, une, des, mon, ma, mes, ton, ta, tes)
-Find all the adjectives (words that describe the nouns)

For those who are looking for a challenge, you can choose any of the verbs, nouns or adjectives that you find and write your own sentences. Don't forget a capital letter to begin and a punctuation mark to end your sentence.

Here are some websites:

1.Listening to French (15 mins/day)
