Language:

We continue to practice for EQAO

We worked on our SPLAT art writing portion.

We also continued to work on Media.  We started to create cereal boxes based on a new cereal using elements of persuasion found in media.  Students will also answer a series of questions about their cereal box and their choice of elements used.

Math:

We continued to learn about multiplication (groups of).  Please review the concepts at home with your child. Also, practice skip counting (2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, etc...)

The multiplication sign (X) we are referring to as "Groups of..."
For example:  3 X 4 = 12 (3 groups of 4 = 12)

Multiplication is also skip counting.  3 x 4 =12 is the same as 4 + 4 + 4 = 12
