What did we do this week:
Language:
We started to focus on Friendly letter writing.
Have your child practice writing you or someone else (family member, friend, story book character, etc...) a letter. Be sure that they include the 5 parts of a friendly letter (date, greeting, body, closing and signature).

Math:
We continue to work on 2D geometry. Focusing on properties of polygons, quadrilaterals, and congruent shapes.
Science: We continue our using on Strong and Stable Structures.
We completed 3 experiements that focused on the concepts of STRONG and STABLE. We also discovered that the TRIANGLE is the strongest shape! Please ask your child to tell you about the experiments. Use the photos below to guide your conversations.
To wrap up our science unit, next week we will start to build bridges using the concepts and knowledge we have aquired over the unit.

Music: We continued our music unit. Students sung songs in unison, repetition and in rounds. We also reviewed the instrument families.
We looked at how music/ instruments creates an image and evokes feelings.
We continued to watch Disney's Fantasia and also Peter and the Wolf
Gym: We continued to play Borden Ball.
